A PEOPLE'S CLOCK FOR A PEOPLE'S TIME
Everyone needs to learn about the 13-moon Calendar Change Peace Movement. Since the early 20th century there have been numerous attempts to change the antiquated, messy, and inaccurate Gregorian 12-month calendar to a more efficient and universal 13-month calendar based on the lunar cycle. Unlike the Gregorian clock, every month in the 13-moon clock has exactly 28 days (good news, at the very least, for those who, in the old calendar, would be unfortunate enough to be born on Feb. 29). Like the Gregorian year, the 13-moon year is composed of 365 days (13 x 28 = 364 + 1 "day out of time"= 365). Instead of having a leap year every four years, every 52 moon years we would have a "13-days out of time" festival, wherein we'd celebrate peace through culture.
The 13-moon calendar is also known as the Natural Time clock. It is in harmony with the menstrual cycle, the ocean tides, and a number of other natural processes. It has been used for millenia by indiginous peoples around the world, including the Mayans, the most sophisticated time keepers ever to walk the earth. In fact, this calendar incorporates an incredibly diverse body of knowledge, drawing upon everything from ancient astrology, to the shakras, to buddhist principles, to the latest developments in modern physics. The 13-moon calendar, as it is proposed by this peace movement, is an extraordinary cultural achievement.
